Kassie is a small-town Midwest girl from Iowa who found herself in Arizona to escape the winters. She knew she was meant to be a part of the birthing process when she viewed a delivery during nursing school on her first day of rotation in OB.
After graduating from nursing school in 2015, Kassie worked as a labor and delivery, postpartum, and nursery nurse for five years in Iowa. She believes in helping and empowering women throughout their labor, delivery, and postpartum journey before being discharged home. This foundation was reinforced after she was lucky enough to deliver one of her coworker’s children as a nurse.
Kassie graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 2019 and has been practicing as a Certified Nurse Midwife in a hospital setting since 2020. Kassie wants moms to feel empowered and educated throughout their pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum. She believes in making decisions together and finding a solution given the situation at the time. Kassie is very excited to be at Blossom Birth and Wellness Center, where she can help women feel even more empowered. Along with pregnancy, labor/delivery, and postpartum, Kassie is also able to provide well-woman exams, birth control counseling, irregular menses, pelvic pain, and more.
While Kassie is not working, you can find her at the gym, going to concerts, reading a book in a coffee shop, and going on hikes with her black lab, Macy. She tries to return to Iowa to see her family and friends as much as possible.
