We had such an incredible experience with Blossom and the wonderful women who work there during my pregnancy, the birth of our son and after. The woman are all so warm and welcoming, they take time to really get to know you and your family and you start and end each appointment with a hug and warm smile! I never once felt rushed or like my questions and concerns didn’t matter. It felt like another home…cozy, inviting, calm, spiritual. A perfect place to bring a child into this world!
On September 14, 2014 at 6:30pm my water broke! I labored at home with the help of my incredible husband, Jacob and stayed in touch with Blossom. My labor came on fast and hard…contractions were 20-30 seconds apart throughout and INTENSE! We arrived at Blossom at 1:30am and Nichelle and Sommer where there to help us out. They helped us set up the room the way we had planed…lit by candles, my diffuser of oils was filled the air, soft music was played in the background and the love and support of my husband and my birth team. My labor was FAST! As soon as I arrived at Blossom Nichelle checked me (the first time ever!) and I was a little over 7cm. Sommer massaged my back while my husband helped prep the tub. I labored the final 2 hours in the warm tub with my husband behind me. No one could believe it was time to push when the time arrived…it was so intense! My beautiful and perfect son, Tucker, was born at 3:19am and our lives were changed forever!
I was moved to the bed along side my husband and Nichelle and Sommer took care of everything while we bonded and gazed at our sweet boy. I delivered the placenta while Tucker was latched on and enjoying his first taste of mama milkies. Nichelle and Sommer had us rest as a family for a few hours and then made us a delicious breakfast in bed.
This is how birth should be. A supportive team that loves you and cares for you, reminds you that you are a powerful woman doing what we were created to do! It was such a powerful and life changing experience and I am excited to do it all over again when we get pregnant with our second.
We absolutely adore our Blossom Family and highly recommend them to others. Thank you all for everything!
