Mary was born and raised on the inviting stony shoreline of Long Island. After her own homebirth in 2003, Mary became a strong advocate for women having normal physiologic birth outside of the hospital setting. In 2006, Mary attended the homebirth of a friend in New York City in the role of a support person. This led her to become a certified doula later that year, where she continued to serve families on Long Island and the boroughs of New York City.
In 2017 Mary enrolled at the Midwives College of Utah. She will graduate in the summer of 2022 with the goal of being a certified and licensed midwife by the fall of 2022. Mary is also a certified herbalist and doula instructor. She teaches childbirth preparation and natural fertility awareness. Mary is a strong advocate for reproductive justice, birth equity, and improving birth experiences and outcomes for all.
