Amy Frautschi, Birth Assistant, MSPH

Amy Frautschi started working as a birth assistant in 2021 after finishing an internship as a pandemic contact tracer for Gallup Indian Medical Center. She was absolutely thrilled to accept this new position with Blossom and gain valuable experience helping moms through prenatal, partum, and postpartum care. In fact, she would say it’s the best job she’s ever had!

Amy aspires to be a Certified Nurse Midwife who works with a tribal population as a healthcare provider. She will soon be starting an MSN program. Amy received her Master of Science in Public Health from the prestigious Johns Hopkins University in 2019. She hopes to focus on Native women in an urban health facility with the goal of one day starting her own practice that will provide outreach and good quality care for Native women, combining both western medicine and traditional birth practices.
