Blossom is a well-established birth center that is financially sound. This allows us to limit the number of births we take per month, so we can provide the best possible care for our clients. We don’t need to be busy. A safe, gentle and calm birth environment is our goal.
Blossom has an amazing Medical Director, Dr. Nichelle Whitehead, MD, FACOG, IBCLC. She has hospital privileges at St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center and has been active with their OB Care Committee Team. Her relationship with St. Joseph’s Hospital is truly amazing and ensures our clients receive the best care whenever the hospital becomes necessary.
Blossom is needs-based practice. That means, our care is fine tuned to help you with whatever YOU NEED. Prenatal Care
Imagine your prenatal visits with no long wait times. Our prenatal appointments are scheduled for an hour, allocating enough time to answer all of your questions to educate and empower you. We strive to establish a relationship with love, trust, and respect. Our team at Blossom wants your prenatal care to equal your envisioned prenatal experience. Come and celebrate your belly and baby. Giving Birth at Blossom
Imagine birthing with the freedom to move as your body and baby direct you. Eating and drinking whatever you like. Music, scent, candles, and immersion in a warm whirlpool tub. All of this, while supported by your partner and a fantastic team of midwives and birth assistants. This is the reality at Blossom Birth Center.
Postpartum
Imagine holding your baby without anyone trying to intervene, delayed cord clamping and immediate guidance with breastfeeding. The pure joy of you and baby being together for the first time. Our midwives and birth assistants will tend to your every need providing skin to skin contact for you and your baby. You can rest and recover with no rushing to discharge. We offer your postpartum stay from 6 to 12 hours. Some Mothers like to leave a little sooner and some like to stay longer. It is whatever YOU NEED.
Breastfeeding
Blossom has a fully supported Breastfeeding Center next door with our Board Certified Lactation Consultants called, The Milk Spot. Plus we offer Lip and Tongue Tie Revisions without a long wait. Check out UNTIED. Most insurance plans are accepted.
