Claire Amilee Smith is here at exactly 40 weeks to the day
The minute we walked into the Blossom building I simply felt a sense of peace and after meeting with Nichelle and Mary there was no doubt that this is the place where we wanted our precious baby to enter the world! every prenatal appointment was so wonderful, personal and loving. Even our two boys ( 4yrs and 6 yrs old ) loved coming along to Blossom. Mary and Nichelle always took all the time WE needed to talk about the baby, development, concerns etc. We never had the feeling of just being another name on a checklist that just needed to be dealt with!
The day of labor was a wonderful exciting day. I anticipated the day like a child anticipates Christmas to come. by the time we arrived at Blossom ( it was about 8pm ) Nichelle had already filled the bathtub for me, dimmed the lights, lit some candles and even fixed a delicious meal for me. All we needed to do was to settle in and get ready for our girl to arrive. The labor was hard but Nichelle and my husband just talked me through all my contractions with words of love and encouragement. I loved every minute of it even though it was painful!
After giving birth in the tub to our amazing, beautiful, healthy 8 lbs baby girl at 1.50 am we nestled into the big comfy bed and not once had to let go of our baby! We were able to rest and catch up on some sleep with our little girl. I will never forget the peace we both had by simply getting to know this new little creation without being interrupted.
The morning after the birth my mom came with our two sons to meet their baby sister. They both got to “help” weighing and measuring their sissy, which was just beautiful to watch. We all were a part of everything that needed to be done.
It was simply the best birth experience I had. my previous two births were at a hospital and it was not at all comparable to what we got to experience at Blossom! If we ever have a 4th child Blossom is our destination!
We are in love with the place and the awesome Ladies Mary and Nichelle!
